-Studio. Green screen locations around the world. Costume changes depending on what location Vagaband the character is wearing. London, Cuba, Japan, Australia, Morocco.
-Girl in room packing bag. Room is very travel themed. World map, flags. Goes to leave room but remembers she's not got her Vagaband. Goes to get it and then she can finally leave.
We differ slightly from the generic travelling advert and decided to focus on the packing aspect of the travelling so that the location doesn’t detract from the importance of the band.
She is calmly packing her bag.
It will open on slow pan of a girls bedroom, in her room there are objects that represent Australia, it will also pan over the vagaband in the room but it is not the focus of the shot. The shot will move onto the girl packing her clothes and belongings into a backpack.
She puts a pin in the map on Australia and turns to leave, the camera follows her just behind her shoulder. She stops suddenly and turns around to pick up her Vagaband, the shot is a close up of the bracelet and the hand coming to get it. She attaches it to her wrist in another close up.
It’s based on traveling but we have a very limited budget so having extravagant locations aren't accessible, so we’ve decided to focus on the different aspect of the travelling, whilst alluding to the upcoming trip she will embark on. This will save us money and time, to make it most efficient.
We looked at the different band locations, for example india, morocco and japan. But there isn't anywhere in our local area that we could convincingly make into the location. Australia however is the closest culturally and naturally in its classic depiction, due to us being close to the coast we have access to beaches and the sea and equipment that will make it as believable as possible.
We want the room to reflect the girls love for travelling, hence wanting a travel shelf with different themed objects from different countries
We chose to have no sound on the mood real because we aren't having a soundtrack. Instead we are using heightened on set sound and foley as we feel it will add to the excited tone of the advert which is our main aim,
Crew: Lucie Eckersley, Katie Seals, Annie Deane, Owen Roberts, and Matt Baker
Duration: 30 Seconds
Target Audience: Young people who are going traveling
Film Outline: A teenage girl is eagerly packing up her clothes into her backpack for her holiday to Australia. As she’s about to leave, she realises she has forgotten her Vagaband. She quickly turns around to look for it and sees it on her desk. She picks it up and puts it on her wrist. Now she has it on, she leaves her house out the front door which transports her into a beach in Australia.
Object: The object of this advert is to promote the vagaband brand. To showcase the product to potential buyers. We want this advert to be fun and adventurous. We want to show off the product and make it appealing for younger buyers.
Character breakdown: 19 year old girl. Milly. British. Very enthusiastic about life.
Long life dream of going travelling, specifically to Australia.
Student on a gap year to Australia before she goes to uni.
Rationale: We chose this idea because we have a very limited budget so having extravagant locations aren't accessible. We decided to focus on different aspects of travelling, whilst alluding to the upcoming trip. Hence packing her bag in her bedroom. This will make a good project because we are being realistic in what we have access to and focusing on the before part of travelling, which we have all done before. All crew members have advanced skills with camera, lighting and sound equipment which will benefit this project a lot.
Camera movement - Pans, mid shot, close up
Editing effects - Green screen beach
Costume - Comfy travel clothes
Props - world map, backpack, objects from different countries

The first shot will be a high to low pan of her travel shelf (vagaband also on shelf) to her packing her backpack on bed.
The second shot will be a close up of her packing more clothes into the backpack and zipping it up and puts on back while she turns to face camera.
The third shot will be a mid shot, her looking excitedly into the camera.
The fourth shot will also be a mid shot but this will be of her reaching up to put a pin in Australia on the map and picking up an Australian themed object, looking really happy and eager.
The fifth shot will be a mid shot of her tightening the backpack straps and walks to leave room.
The sixth shot will be a over the shoulder shot, shows her looking at a card her mum got her ‘Bon Voyage, Safe Travels’.
The seventh shot will be a close up of her looking shocked as she remembers that she’s forgotten the Vagaband.
The eighth shot will be a mid shot of her reaching to grab the vagaband off the shelf.
The ninth shot will be a close up of her attaching the Vagaband her wrist.
The tenth shot will be a close up of her sighing and looking relieved. Finally knowing she’s got everything she needs to be safe while in Australia.
The last shot will be a mid shot of her leaving the front door which will magically leads her out onto a beach to give the illusion that the journey is so safe that it seems like there's been no journey at all. Safe travels with Vagaband.
