Lulu Films is a film, video and photography production company based in London, UK, specialising in short documentaries, behind-the-scenes photography and online promotional content.

Working across music, art, politics, dance and fashion, Lulu Films has produced over 100 short films for broadcast TV, independent film and online social media. This includes working closely with award winning musicians such as Anna Calvi, The Invisible and the late Ari Up of The Slits to create a body of observational portraits and short documentaries and collaborating with writer Ben Webb in 2014 to produce the trilogy drama project, Lightly Covered With Buttoned Cloth.

More recently, Lulu Films has produced short documentaries and campaign films for Greenpeace, Trades Union Congress (TUC), London Buddhist Centre, Grenfell Speaks and Single Homeless Project. And has written and edited four party election broadcasts for The Labour Party airing on BBC1, ITV and Channel 4 with an estimated audience of 9-million.

At it’s heart, Lulu Films is founded on an artistic practice inspired by the innovative and politically aware cinematic languages of observational documentary filmmaking. Coupled with an understanding of the fast-paced nature of global audiences and the thrill energetic editing can bring to storytelling - a skill rapidly adopted and normalised by millions of social media users across the globe.

Lulu Films has screened work at the London Short Film Festival, London Independent Film Festival, Underwire Festival and Shooting People in New York and has received a Channel 4 4Talent Short Documentary Award and Best Sound Design at Underwire Festival nominations. Clients include Saatchi & Saatchi, BBC Studios, The British Fashion Council, Trades Union Congress, Comic Relief, Greenpeace, Single Homeless Project, London Buddhist Centre, Labour Party, Grenfell Speaks, Beck's Music Inspires Art, Vogue Magazine and Greta Thunberg.
